Indonesia to Enforce New Online Arrival Declaration from August 18, 2025

According to an official announcement from the Government of Indonesia, starting from August 18, 2025, all international passengers entering Indonesia will be required to complete an online arrival declaration.

This regulation applies across all entry checkpoints including immigration, customs, quarantine, and health, replacing the previous manual and fragmented procedures.

 How to Complete the Declaration

  • You may also use the All Indonesia mobile application and refer to the detailed instructional video provided

  • Once completed, the system will generate a QR confirmation code. Passengers must keep this code to present during immigration procedures upon arrival in Indonesia.

Who Must Complete It

  • All international passengers entering Indonesia
  • Including passengers on transit flights. In this case, the declaration must be made for the final destination within Indonesia

Example: For the route Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) – Jakarta (CGK) – Surabaya (SUB), the declared destination must be Surabaya (SUB).

Important Notes

  • Passengers are required to keep the QR code after successful submission to present to the relevant authorities upon arrival
  • The declaration must be completed before landing to avoid delays during entry procedures

 Why This Matters

The introduction of the online arrival declaration system will:

  • Simplify entry procedures
  • Reduce waiting times
  • Increase transparency in border control

In addition, the system will enhance health and quarantine measures, particularly in the context of global health challenges and the growing need for tighter international mobility management.

✈️ If you plan to travel to Indonesia after August 18, 2025, please ensure that you complete the online declaration in advance for a smooth and hassle-free journey.
